Founder's Message

 

Dance has always played a huge part in my life starting with dancing around the house when I was a tiny child to any music I heard, to starting ballet lessons with an inspiring teacher who taught me the fundamentals of technique alongside the fun and creativity associated with the performing arts.

My own dance teaching career began forty years ago as a student teacher and from there I built up Kavanagh Dance as a place for children to inherit my love of music and movement and to have fun while learning. Our aim is to teach them skills which are not just for dancing, but will help them through life such as confidence, self motivation, discipline, all of which are key to being not only a dancer but a successful person.
